Fondmetal

The origins of the FONDMETAL GROUP date back to 1970 when Gabriele Rumi, representing the third generation of industrialists in metal smelting, founded what was to become FONDMETAL S.p.A.
The fundamental steps have been:
  • The move away from the forging of pieces on behalf of third parties to the marketing of its own product (wheels)
  • The involvement with motor racing culminating in F.1.
  • Complete design of the cars and related components.
  • The actual tendency of being especially receptive also to new ventures in different sectors provided they are highly competitive.
     
The FONDMETAL GROUP is wholly dedicated to creating technology mainly for the automobile. Projects are devised internally with the purpose of getting maximum performance mechanically, aerodynamically and as regards speed.
Their work is principally directed to highly competitive activities and therefore involved in an area that is forever pushing technology to its limits against the most determined and powerful world-class competitors.
