continental icecontact 8 – top-notch grip on ice and snow

The Continental IceContact 8 is a premium studded tire developed for the harsh winter conditions of the Nordic countries, offering strong grip on icy and snowy roads, precise handling and a durable construction. The tire is designed for drivers who need reliable driving control even in very low temperatures and difficult winter road conditions.

innovative twin stud technology

One of the most important innovations of the icecontact 8 is the twin stud technology, which uses two types of studs with different functions. One type of stud helps improve traction during acceleration and grip during braking, while the other supports lateral grip and vehicle control when cornering.
The optimized stud arrangement allows the different studs to work in a complementary manner, providing better control on icy roads.

durable stud fastening and long service life

Continental has paid special attention to the durability of the stud attachment. A special connection between the stud and the rubber compound helps reduce stud movement and the risk of studs falling out.
Larger and deeper tread blocks provide more stable support for the studs. This design helps maintain the tire's winter grip properties over a longer period of use.

solid grip on snowy roads

The new V-shaped tread pattern of the IceContact 8 is designed to provide efficient traction and stable handling in snowy conditions. The multi-directional sipes create additional gripping edges that help improve the tire's contact with the snowy road surface.
Tread grooves support the removal of snow, water and slush from the contact patch, helping to maintain control in variable winter conditions.

flexible rubber compound even in severe frost

The tire's special rubber compound contains a flexible polymer and cold-resistant ingredients that help the tread maintain elasticity even at very low temperatures.
This allows the tire to follow the unevenness of the road surface and supports traction on ice, snow, and cold asphalt.

stable handling and versatile use

The Continental IceContact 8 IR is suitable for a variety of passenger cars and SUVs, including electric and hybrid vehicles. The tire's construction combines winter grip, durability and controlled handling.
The Continental IceContact 8 IR is a modern premium studded tire with twin stud technology, reinforced stud attachment and a cold-resistant rubber compound that provides solid driving control even in the most demanding winter conditions.
