And now the new Polaris 6 winter tire can be ordered from retailers for the new season. It is available immediately in a total of 30 sizes. During the development process of the new Polaris 6, engineers created a v-shaped tread pattern on the tire to increase traction on snow. In addition, they integrated small grip-enhancing pockets in the form of tooth-like gripping edges into the sides of the shoulder blocks. These “snaqua pockets” also help collect water in rainy conditions. For driving in more wintry conditions, the Polaris 6 tread blocks have numerous sinusoidal and zigzag sipes that increase traction on snow. This increases traction both when starting off and braking, as well as during precise cornering maneuvers.
