The new Barum Polaris 6, a winter tire with high mileage and comfortable road noise levels. It features a v-pattern, a new sipe concept, and a tire compound and construction designed to keep rolling resistance low. The new winter tire is suitable for vehicles with all types of drivetrains.

Affordable tires can also be safe and high-quality – as Continental Corporation’s Barum brand has demonstrated for years. And now the new Polaris 6 winter tire can be ordered from retailers for the new season. It is available immediately in a total of 30 sizes. During the development process of the new Polaris 6, engineers created a v-shaped tread pattern on the tire to increase traction on snow. In addition, they integrated small grip-enhancing pockets in the form of tooth-like gripping edges into the sides of the shoulder blocks. These “snaqua pockets” also help collect water in rainy conditions. For driving in more wintry conditions, the Polaris 6 tread blocks have numerous sinusoidal and zigzag sipes that increase traction on snow. This increases traction both when starting off and braking, as well as during precise cornering maneuvers.
